Ryan began his aviation career in the United States Marine Corps, serving as a helicopter flight technician. Following his military service, he attended Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) school and gained hands-on experience as a part-time technician with Airborne Express. He was later hired full-time as an A&P Technician, where he spent 15 years performing a wide range of airframe and powerplant maintenance functions.
Transitioning into government contract work, Ryan joined L-3 Communications (now L3 Technologies) as a Senior Field Engineer. His assignments took him to Afghanistan, Iraq, and Kuwait, where he provided critical support in high-stakes operational environments. In addition to holding an A&P license, Ryan is certified with Inspection Authorization (IA), further underscoring his technical expertise and commitment to regulatory compliance.
In 2013, Ryan joined Lone Mountain Aircraft Maintenance as Director of Maintenance, where he led operational oversight and quality assurance initiatives. He continues to conduct return-to-service flights for aircraft following major maintenance, ensuring safety and performance standards are met prior to customer delivery.
In 2025, Ryan was promoted to Vice President of Lone Mountain Aircraft Maintenance. In this role, he is focused on expanding the company’s capabilities and driving excellence across all facets of aircraft maintenance operations.
Outside of work, Ryan resides in Jeffersonville, Ohio, with his three children—Cole, Hensley, and Clay. He is actively involved in his community as a Township Trustee and enjoys spending time outdoors camping, hunting, and fishing.
